To my patients, colleagues, coworkers and fellow Wilsonians,
I am writing to inform you of my resignation from Wilson OBGYN effective December 2, 2022. I have accepted a position back home, in Michigan, to be closer to family and to allow my husband to advance his career.
Please know that this was a difficult decision as I will dearly miss everyone in Wilson. I am honored to have cared for and been a part of many special moments for the women of Wilson. My husband and I are thankful for all the great people we have met and the relationships we have formed here. Wilson will always have a special place in my heart.
I am confident that the phycicians and staff of Wilson OBGYN will continue to provide excellent care for my patients in my absence. You are welcome to view their bios on the website and select one as your next physician, but I would also like to take this time to introduce a new face at Wilson OBGYN. Dr Alex Almeida recently moved to Wilson. He Completed medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at ECU Health and completed residency at Sait Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Harford, CT. He has a wonderful wife and two beautiful children, is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about Women’s Health.
